I started by speaking with the owner of Made to Alder, Joe Alder, and finding out what was important to him. Joe told me that he wanted the branding to have a vintage feel to support his values, and that it was important to him that he could easily update/upload new work photos and testimonials to the website.
I created a Pinterest board with vintage/retro inspired graphic design and used this research to design a logo and brand colours which Joe reviewed and approved. Based upon the research and the final logo and brand colours I began to create some mock-ups for the website. Once these were approved I began to build the website.
This website was built from scratch without using templates, which means there is a lot of customisability. I created a simple to use back end for Joe to update/upload work and testimonials. I set up social media profiles for Made to Alder on Instagram and Facebook using the logo and brand colours to create some posts. Joe then approved the final design and we launched the website.
